Sweet nothings
I found the one (you),
and I will never give up..
I know it's cheesy, but what can I do,
I'm crazily, stupidly, in love with you.
(I got inspired by the movie Crazy, Stupid, Love. Good film, poison to hopeless romantics out there :D)

The Poet in Me Died: A repost

One of the dark times of Mr. Brightside.
I wrote this poem back in 2007, right after my first boyfriend (we were together for 1 year and 4 months) told me he cheated on me and eventually broke up with me. Jerk. I've forgiven him, but still, he messed me up and picking up the pieces of my broken self was not easy (after all, it was my first heart break).
Anyway, I just want to share this poem.
The Poet in Me Died
by Mr. Brightside
Words don’t make sense anymore,
The waves depart farther from the shore.
Emotions that were once all mine,
Decided to bury itself in time.
Promises now become lies,
Forever becomes a vague picture.
Tears start flowing from my eyes,
The truth now becomes torture.
Words now cease to rhyme,
Songs start to lose its meaning.
The light you once found in me refuses to shine,
I am now void of all feelings.
The heart now numbs and becomes sober,
Denying that thoughts of you still linger.
The questions still remain unanswered,
Nothings real until you realize it’s all over.
I crash and burn
Tired to hope and yearn
The heart and mind collide
The poet in me died.

Statement of Christopher Lao
I know Chris Lao personally, and he is one of the most mature and intelligent persons I know. I think the treatment he is getting is unfair and the issue blown out of proportions.
In line with the internet bashing going on, below is a statement from Chris.
4 August 2011
The past few days have been very disheartening for me and my family. As you know I have been a subject of a viral video that showed my helplessness during a trying moment. As it stands right now, I have several hate pages in Facebook and Twitter with hurtful and derogatory messages attacking my person. The reputation that I built the past years has been besmirched. A bad day has now turned into wounded feelings and sleepless nights for me and my family.
I have been silent the past few days as I want this to go away soon but not before saying sorry and thank you to people who matter.
I would like to apologize for my behavior that was seen on nationwide television and now on the internet. It was unfortunate that I was caught on camera immediately after an overwhelmingly stressful mishap.
I would like to again sincerely thank those who braved the flood to help a distraught stranger like me. Their selfless act reminded me of how dependable Filipinos are in times of crisis.
Lastly, I would like to thank my family, friends and all of those who showed empathy, consideration and support throughout these trying times. You have given me strength and courage to rise above and be a better person.
Sincerely yours,
Christopher Lao

A love letter

It has been our thing from the beginning, to write love notes/letters for each other every chance we get. We've sneaked it in our respective bags, back-pockets of our pants, the drawer in your desk, in between our planner/notebooks. We've given each other several of these through facebook, yahoo mail, sms and even in our own blogs.
We've given each other a number of love notes/letters I've lost count already and I plan to keep it that way. This one is for you My Love (please do expect many more to come).
To My Love,
Ano bang meron sa araw na to? Napakaordinaryo, parang wala lang. Ah alam ko na! Today is the last day of my bum mode. So let's celebrate! Haha
But seriously speaking...
Today we celebrate eight months of being together, eight months of love. Happy Monthsary Pat!
Mahal ko, you are truly a blessing in my life and I could not ask for more. Sabi nga ni Toni Gonzaga sa My Amnesia Girl, "Lord, pandesal lang naman hinihingi ko, hamburger binigay nyo. May fries pa!"
All the pain and heartbreaks in the past, you made it all worth it. I have no regrets experiencing them, because now I know the reason for my love-scars. It was God's way of preparing me to meet and be with the greatest love of my life.
Lastly, I can say that it has been a wonderful journey and I hope you are ready to keep on sailing with me through many more monthsaries (and anniversaries). You are my Forever and I am your Always.
I love you, and I will never get tired of saying it and showing it.
The guy who plans to spend the rest of his life with you,
Mr. Brightside aka Your Crazy-Little Ban-Ne
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Notes and Words

Songs, are meant to convey a message. The language of the heart and soul.

Songs find words for us when we are lost for it, when the simple "I love you" is not enough.

Songs, it's amazing how you discover one and how it perfectly describes the state you are in. It triggers an emotion, evokes a memory, creates longing.
Songs, they are more than notes and words.
You left your home, You're so far from everything you know
Your big dream is crashing down and out your door.
Wake up and dream once more.
Come back when you can...
You've done nothing at all to make me love you less.
So come back when you can.
I miss you.
I love you.

I Promise
A love story:
It was the perfect start of a wonderful love story. Boy 1, tired from work and from pointless dates, went to O-bar with friends (he wasn't expecting to meet anyone/he didn't want to meet anyone). Boy 2, also tired from work, was invited by a friend to go to O-bar to distress. Boy 1 saw a friend of his best friend and hid (Boy 1 was not yet that "open" at that time). In an attempt to conceal himself, one of Boy 1's friends suggested that they roam the dance floor and said "I think I saw a former classmate." The "former classmate" he was pertaining to was Boy 2. The two boys meet for the first time. Boy 1 danced with Boy 2, it was the polite thing to do at that time. After a while, Boy 1 decided to return to his friends, after all he did not intend to meet anyone that night and he made a decision to take a break from the dating scene. Panic! Boy 1's friend was talking to the guy Boy 1 was trying to avoid, in another attempt to hide, Boy 1 decided to stay where Boy 2 was situated and danced with him.
"Pagod na ako magsayaw," Boy 2 uttered... "Would you like to step out for a while?" Boy 1 replied... The two boys stepped out and engaged in a 2-hour conversation. A connection was made... Instant chemistry.
Still unsure of the possibilities between them, two weeks passed by, two weeks of trying to find out if it's still worth a try. Alas, the boys found the necessary courage and started dating.
After almost two months of sweet-funny-anything goes-crazy dates, November 24, 2010, Boy 1 took a risk:
I love you. Take a risk with me. Be my boyfriend
And so did Boy 2:
I guess the monthsary is every 24th of the month
It has been seven (7) months of love for the two boys. Words are not enough to describe the beauty of their relationship, how rare and beautiful it is. What makes it even more wonderful is both their families and friends support their relationship.
But, a love story is not a love story if there are no challenges in between. Now the boys are facing a tough challenge... We are facing a tough challenge.
Two months ago my boyfriend left the country to work in Saudi Arabia. It was a difficult but necessary choice to make and I completely understand his reasons. Despite the distance (and the time difference) we decided to make it work. After all, it is a rare and beautiful love story that is worth fighting for.
A message to My Love:
Mahal ko,
It has been seven months of love, and I am looking forward to an infinite number of months to celebrate with you. You are my forever and I am your always.
I miss you and I love you so much.
A promise:

Kailanman hinding hindi magsasawa...
Na sabihin at ipakita...
Na mahal na mahal kita...
Habang buhay ikaw ay nais makasama
